Daily Qur'an & Hadith 02 July 2019 (28 Shawal 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[06] Surah Al-An'am [The Cattle]
Ayat 17. And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things.
Ayat 18. And He is the Irresistible, above His slaves, and He is the All-Wise, Well-acquainted with all things.
Tafseer of Surah Al An'am (The Cattle) Ayat 17 & 18. "If Allah touch thee with affliction, none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness, He hath power over all things. The vulgar worship false gods out of fear that they would harm them or hope that they would confer some benefit on them. These false gods can do neither. All
power, all goodness is in the hands of Allah. All else is pretence or illusion. 18. "He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers; and He is the Wise, acquainted with all things."

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) used to say at the conclusion of prayer: "La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku, wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai'in Qadir. Allahumma la mani'a lima a'tayta, wa la mu`tiya lima mana'ta, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi, minkal-jaddu (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him, His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent. O Allah! None can deny that which You bestow and none can bestow that which You hold back; and the greatness of the great will be of no avail to them against You).''
[Al-Bukhari Book 09, Chapter 92, Hadith # 395].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-An'am Ayat 17. And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things” That is, good fortune and prosperity will not be of any avail before Allah. What will really benefit a person before Him are Faith and virtuous deeds. The prayer quoted in this Hadith makes a special mention of His Oneness.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Taking Back Gifts
Ibn `Abbas (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The one who takes back his gift is like a dog swallowing its own vomit, and we (believers) should not act according to this bad example."

(Bukhari Vol. 9, Book 86, Hadith 105)

When giving gifts is a sunnah, taking them back is reviled. Give with your heart and know that what you will get back is from Allah.

On the authority of Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.
