Daily Qur'an & Hadith 30 April 2019 (24 Shaban 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 59. Say (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do you criticize us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and in (the revelation) which has been sent down to us and in that which has been sent down before (us), and that most of you are Fasiqun [rebellious and disobedient (to Allah)]?"
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 59. Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) Say to Jews and Christians: "O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us), and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"  There is the most biting irony in this and the next verse. You People of the Book! Do you hate us because we believe in Allah and not only our scripture, but yours also? Perhaps you hate us because we obey and you are in rebellion against Allah! Why hate us? There are worse things than our obedience and our faith. Shall 1 tell you some of them? Our test will be: what treatment Allah meted out to the things 1 mention. Who were the people who incurred the curse of Allah? (See Deut. 11:28 , and 28:15-68; and numerous passages like Hosea 8:14, and 9:1.). Who provoked Allah's wrath? (See numerous passages like Deut. 1:34; Matt. 3:7.) Who forsook Allah, and worshipped evil? (See Jeremiah, 16:11-13). That is your record. Is that why you hate us?'

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, Abu Bakar asked, "O Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH)! Teach me some words so that I may recite them in the morning and in the evening.'' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Recite these words: `Allahumma fatiras-samawati wal-ardi, `alimal-ghaibi wash-shahadati, Rabba kulli shai'in wa malikahu. Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Anta, A’udhu bika min sharri nafsi, wa sharrish-Shaitani wa shirkihi (O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the hidden and the exposed! Rubb of everything and everyone. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but You. I seek Your Protection from the evil of my own self from the evil of Satan and from the evil of Shirk to which he calls).''' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) added: "Recite these words in the morning and the evening and when you go to bed.''
[Abu Dawud Hadith # 5067 and At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 3392].
Lesson: It is desirable to recite the invocations cited in the Hadith in the morning and the evening and also when one goes to bed and awakes. The purpose is that the concept of Allah's Providence and Divinity remains alive all the time in one's mind. With these words one seeks Allah's Protection in life and the Hereafter from things which are harmful. One also begs for his safety and guidance in this life and the Hereafter. This Hadith fully expresses one's recognition of Allah's Godhood and Lordship.

INVITE FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO RECIEVE THEIR DAILY HADITH
On the authority of Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al' As (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray.

Daily Qur'an & Hadith 29 April 2019 (23 Shaban 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 58. And when you proclaim the call for As-Salat [call for the prayer (Adhan)], they take it (but) as a mockery and fun; that is because they are a people who understand not.
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 58. When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding. To call Adhan for five daily fard prayers is definite based on the Quran (al-Maida, 58; al-Jumu'a, 9) and the Sunnah. The decree about it is Sunnah al-muakkadah and kifayah. That is, if a person living in a place fulfils this duty, the other people living there will be relieved of the responsibility. However, if calling Adhan is abandoned completely, all of the people living there will be held responsible. Adhan is one of the greatest signs of Islam; so, it is a Sunnah at the level of Wajib. Adhan was rendered legitimate in the 1st year the Migration in Madinah. The Importance and Virtues of Adhan: Muslims are informed about the times for prayers through Adhan; they are also reminded that prayer leads man to salvation; thus, they are encouraged to perform prayers. More importantly, the holiest principles of the religion of Islam like oneness and prophet hood are declared to the whole world through Adhan.  Therefore, to call Adhan gives man a lot of virtues and thawabs. Some of the hadiths regarding the issue are as follows:
"If people knew about the virtue of Adhan and performing prayers in the first line in the mosque, they would draw lots for them." "On the Day of Judgment, muezzins are the tallest people (in terms of thawabs)." "Everybody, whether a human or a jinn, hearing the voice of Adhan will witness in favour of that muezzin on the Day of Judgment."
Hz. Umar stated the following expressing the virtue of calling Adhan: "If I did not have the duty of the caliphate, I would like to be a muezzin." (*) Adhan and iqama are among the properties of this Ummah. It is narrated that Hz. Jibril called Adhan when Hz.. Adam was sent down to the earth and in order to soothe him when he witnessed the savagery on the earth; however, it does not change the fact that Adhan is a property peculiar to this Ummah.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Said Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "When you hear the Mu'adhdhin (pronouncing the call to Salat), repeat after him what he says.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 58. And when you proclaim the call for As-Salat [call for the prayer (Adhan)], they take it (but) as a mockery and fun; that is because they are a people who understand not. This Hadith for true believer it’s necessary to listen to Adhan and also to repeat the words of Adhan when we hear it. But when he says "Hayya `alas-Salah'' or "Hayya `alal-Falah'' we must say "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.'' Where as they disbeliever make mockery of Allah's call, today also lot of Muslim just hear the call of Allah not turned for Salat.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Patience in Dua
Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "The supplication of every one of you is granted if he does not grow impatient and says: I supplicated but it was not granted."

Daily Qur'an & Hadith 28 April 2019 (22 Shaban 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 57. O you who believe! Take not for Auliya' (protectors and helpers) those who take your religion for a mockery and fun from among those who received the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before you, nor from among the disbelievers; and fear Allah if you indeed are true believers.
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 57. O ye who believe! take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport- whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have faith (indeed). It is not right that we should be in intimate association with those to whom religion is either a subject of mockery or at best is nothing but a plaything. They may be amused, or they may have other motives for encouraging you. But your association with them will sap the earnestness of your faith, and make you cynical and insincere.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Mu'adh (bin Jabal) (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah cid:image003.gif@01D4FDC2.14FB4000 [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: `For those who love one another for the sake of My Glory, (& not for family relationship or friendship) there will be seats of light for them (on the Day of Resurrection), and they will be envied by the Prophets and martyrs".
[At-Tirmidhi].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 57. O you who believe! Take not for Auliya' (protectors and helpers) those who take your religion for a mockery and fun from among those who received the Scripture” This Hadith tells us that Allah will grant an exalted position to such people who love one another for His sake. "They will be envied by the Prophets and martyrs'' does not mean that they will be granted a place higher than even the Prophets because the highest position will be granted to the Prophets, as these are the best of Allah's creation. These words simply draw our attention to the superiority and the exalted position those who love one another for Allah's sake will have on the Day of Resurrection. Another Hadith explains Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah cid:image003.gif@01D4FDC2.14FB4000 [SAWW](PBUH) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah, the Exalted, will say: `Where are those who have mutual love for the sake of My Glory? Today I shall shelter them in My Shade when there will be no shade except Mine".
[Muslim]. It should be borne in mind that the shade referred to in the Hadith is the shade of Allah's Throne. Referring to this shade in the Arabic text as the Shade of Allah, is similar to the `she camel of Allah,' the `land of Allah' `the house of Allah' that are mentioned in the Qur'an. (Editor's Note)

Question time: What is the purpose of Allah’s creation?
Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Nearness to Allah
Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) saying that Allah, the exalted and Glorious, stated: "I am near to the thought of my servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly, I remember him in assembly better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit, I draw near by the space (covered by) two hands, and if he walks towards me, I rush towards him."

(Sahih Muslim 2675, Book 48, Hadith 1)

Isn’t this just so beautiful…

INVITE FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO RECEIVE THEIR DAILY HADITH
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
'A dinar you spend in Allah's way, or to free a slave, or as a charity you give to a needy person, or to support your family, the one yielding the greatest reward is that which you spend on your family.''
