Daily Qur'an & Hadith 26 March 2019 (19 Rajab 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 15. O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH)explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammadimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and a plain Book (this Qur’an).
Ayat 16. Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism).
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 15. O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary). There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book, Mubin: I wish I could translate by a simpler word than "perspicuous". But "plain" may mean unadorned, the opposite of beautiful, and this Book is among the most beautiful that it is the privilege of mankind to read. "Clear" would be right as far as it means "unambiguous, self-evident, not involved in mysteries of origin, history, or meaning, one which everyone can understand as to the essentials necessary for him, without the intervention of priests or privileged persons". Mubin has all these meanings, but it suggests, besides, some quality of a shining light, by which we are able to make things clear, to distinguish the true from the false. This I think is suggested better by "perspicuous" than by the word "clear". Besides it is hardly good idiom to speak of "a clear Book", (Cf. 7:183 and 12:1). 16. Wherewith Allah guides all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leads them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guides them to a path that is straight.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Usman bin Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah cid:image004.gif@01D1F687.EA3B55B0[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The best amongst you is the one who learn the Qur'an and teach it.''
[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 61, Hadith # 545].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-Ma'idah Ayat 15. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammadimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and a plain Book (this Qur’an). This Hadith tells us excellence of people who learn Quran and then spend their time teaching to others. Only such people will be elevated who act upon the teachings of the Qur'an and abstain from what is forbidden by Allah. The Muslims of the early centuries of Islam were blessed with great honour by Allah because they loved and applied the Qur'an. Because of their meaningful attachment with the Qur'an, they made great achievements in religious and worldly spheres. Those who neglected the teachings of Quran & Islam will be disgraced and humiliated. May Allah guide and enable us to re-establish our contact with the Qur'an so that we can regain our past glory.
