[06] Surah Al-An'am [The Cattle]
Ayat 7. And even if We had sent down unto you (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!"
Tafseer of Surah Al An'am (The Cattle) Ayat 7. If We had sent unto thee a written (message) on parchment, so that they could touch it with their hands, the Unbelievers would have been sure to say: "This is nothing but obvious magic!" A Qirtas , in the Prophet's life, could only mean "parchment," which was commonly used as writing material in Western Asia from the 2nd century B..C. The word was derived from the Greek, Charta’s (Cf. Latin, "Charta"). Paper, as we know it, made from rags, was first used by the Arabs after the conquest of Samarqand in 751 A.C. The Chinese had used it by the 2nd century B.C. The Arabs introduced it into Europe; it was used in Greece in the 11th or 12th century, and in Spain through Sicily in the 12th century. The Papyrus, made from an Egyptian reed, was in Egypt as early as 2500 B.C. It gave place to paper in Egypt in the 10th century (Cf. 17:93). The materialists want to see actual physical material things before them, but if such a thing came from an unusual source or expressed things they cannot understand, they give it some name like magic, or superstition, or whatever name is in fashion, and they are not helped at all in attaining faith, because their "hearts are diseased" (2:10).

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, "My parable and that of yours is like a man who kindled a fire. When it has illuminated all around him, the moths and grasshoppers began to fall therein. He tried to push them away, but they overcame him and jumped into it. I am catching hold of your waists ties (to save you) from fire, but you slip away from my hands".
[Muslim Book 030, Chapter 06, Hadith # 5672].
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Al-An'am Ayat 7. And even if We had sent down unto you (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH), a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!" This Hadith mentions the extreme kindness which the Prophet (PBUH) had for the welfare of his followers. It also mentions the misfortune of those who would become the fuel of Hell for not accepting Islam in spite of the utmost affection and ardor of the Prophet image001..jpg [SAWW](PBUH) to bring them in the fold of Islam. People who fail to accept Islam would fall in the Hell-fire in the same way moths fall in the fire.

Today's message is about Feeding the World
Today’s beautiful Hadith is about the importance of feeding the hungry.

“A man is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour goes hungry.”
(Al-Adab)

This Ramadan, we chose to fast… but millions of people around the world have no choice but to go hungry.

Penny Appeal are working with desperately poor people around the world, to help them provide for themselves and be able to feed themselves and their families for life.

Fatma comes from the Karamoja region in rural Uganda, which is plagued by poor rains and drought. This means that a lot of people rely on emergency food relief and people just don’t believe that the land can grow healthy crops based on failed crops of the past. Youth unemployment is extremely high in this area and literacy levels are low, which makes it difficult for young people like Fatma to make a living.

Penny Appeal have been working in Karamoja with young people like Fatma, delivering training in Climate Resilient Sustainable Agriculture and providing everything they need to grow their own food.

The young people we worked with were over the moon with the crops they managed to grow – Fatma can grow enough to feed her children, earn a weekly income and even buy 6 goats!

Penny Appeal also helped Fatma to become a trainer in her community, so she can help other young people learn about and use better agricultural practices. After doing so well herself, Fatma plans to set up her own business and run classes to boost her income and help her community.

For just £20 a month, you can help Penny Appeal continue their amazing work, growing Sustainable Vegetable Gardens and delivering specialist training to help provide sustainable food sources and feed people for life.

So as we are grateful for what we have, let’s help those who don’t have nearly as much as we do. To support Penny Appeal help young people become self sufficient, click and donate here.

On the authority of Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam).
