Daily Qur'an & Hadith 16 May 2019 (10 Ramadan 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 74. Will they not repent to Allah and ask His Forgiveness? For Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Ayat 75. The Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddiqah [i.e. she believed in the words of Allah and His Books (see Verse 66:12)]. They both used to eat food (as any other human being, while Allah does not eat). Look how We make the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth).
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 74 & 75. Why turn they not to Allah, and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful. 75. Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth! She never claimed that she was a mother of God, or that her son was God. She was a pious and virtuous woman. Note how logically the argument has led up from Jewish backslidings and want of faith, to blasphemies associated with the names of Jesus and Mary, and in the following verses to the worship of senseless sticks and stones. Allah is One; His Message is one; yet how people's perversity transforms truth into falsehood, religion into superstition!

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Atiyyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Masruq and I visited Hazrat Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) and said: "O Mother of the Believers! There are two Companions of Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and neither of them holds back from doing good acts; but one of them hastens to break Saum (fasting) and hastens to perform the Maghreb prayer, while the other delays breaking Saum and delays performing Salat (prayer).'' She asked, "Who is the one who hastens to break Saum and perform the Maghreb prayer?'' Masruq said, "It is `Abdullah (meaning `Abdullah bin Masud).'' She said, "The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) used to do so.''
[Muslim Book 06, Chapter 09, Hadith # 2420]
Lesson : This Hadith points out the practice of the Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) of breaking the Saum and performing the Maghreb prayer in the early moments of the prescribed time.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Joy
It was narrated from Abu Al-Ahwas (RA) that 'Abdullah (RA) said: "Allah, may He be exalted, said: 'Fasting is for me and I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. And the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk."' '

(Sunan an-Nasa'i, Book 22, Hadith 123)

So comforting and so beautiful. The reward for fasting is so immense!

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
'It is from the excellence of (a believer's) Islam that he should shun that which is of no concern to him.''
