Daily Qur'an & Hadith 22 May 2019 (16 Ramadan 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 81. And had they believed in Allah, and in the Prophet (Muhammadimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) and in what has been revealed to him, never would they have taken them (the disbelievers) as Auliya' (protectors and helpers), but many of them are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 82. Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. The meaning is not that they merely call themselves Christians, but that they are such sincere Christians that they appreciate Muslim virtues, as did the Abyssinians to whom Muslim refugees went during the persecution in Makkah. Qissis: I have translated as "devoted to learning," following the Commentators. It seems to be a foreign word, possibly Abyssinian rather than Syriac, as the reference seems to be to the Abyssinian Christians. Their real devotion to learning and the renunciation of the world by the Monastic Orders are contrasted with the hypocrisy and arrogance of the Pharisees and Scribes.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) used to observe Itikaf every year (during Ramadan) for ten days; in the year in which he passed away, he observed Itikaf for twenty days.
[Al-Bukhari Book 03, Chapter 33, Hadith # 260].
Lesson : "Our beloved Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) were preparing himself for meeting with Allah (SWT) and We learn from these Ahadith that the observance of Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan is Sunnah of the Prophet image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH). But it can be done only in mosque not at home. Itikaf helps to enhance one's spiritual growth and to strive hard to worship Allah better as there is nothing to distract one's attention from this noble pursuit.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Breaking Fast
Narrated `Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "When night falls from this side and the day vanishes from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast."

(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 30, Hadith 61)

On the authority of Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
'A believer continues to guard his Faith (and thus hopes for Allah's Mercy) so long as he does not shed blood unjustly.''
