Patience and Iman are prerequisites for leadership in religion
Allaah tabaarak ta wa ta’aala says:
"And We made from among them (Children of Israel), leaders, giving guidance under Our Command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)." [Soorah as-Sajdah 32:24]

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said,
"Do not turn your houses into graveyards.
Satan runs away from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited."
[Sahih Muslim]
