Daily Qur'an & Hadith 30 April 2019 (24 Shaban 1440)

English Translation of Al-Quran
[05] Surah Al-Ma'idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 59. Say (O Muhammad image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do you criticize us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and in (the revelation) which has been sent down to us and in that which has been sent down before (us), and that most of you are Fasiqun [rebellious and disobedient (to Allah)]?"
Tafseer of Surah Al Ma'idah Ayat 59. Messenger of Allah image001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) Say to Jews and Christians: "O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us), and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"  There is the most biting irony in this and the next verse. You People of the Book! Do you hate us because we believe in Allah and not only our scripture, but yours also? Perhaps you hate us because we obey and you are in rebellion against Allah! Why hate us? There are worse things than our obedience and our faith. Shall 1 tell you some of them? Our test will be: what treatment Allah meted out to the things 1 mention. Who were the people who incurred the curse of Allah? (See Deut. 11:28 , and 28:15-68; and numerous passages like Hosea 8:14, and 9:1.). Who provoked Allah's wrath? (See numerous passages like Deut. 1:34; Matt. 3:7.) Who forsook Allah, and worshipped evil? (See Jeremiah, 16:11-13). That is your record. Is that why you hate us?'

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allahimage001.jpg [SAWW](PBUH) said, Abu Bakar asked, "O Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH)! Teach me some words so that I may recite them in the morning and in the evening.'' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Recite these words: `Allahumma fatiras-samawati wal-ardi, `alimal-ghaibi wash-shahadati, Rabba kulli shai'in wa malikahu. Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Anta, A’udhu bika min sharri nafsi, wa sharrish-Shaitani wa shirkihi (O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the hidden and the exposed! Rubb of everything and everyone. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but You. I seek Your Protection from the evil of my own self from the evil of Satan and from the evil of Shirk to which he calls).''' The Messenger of Allah image001.jpg[SAWW](PBUH) added: "Recite these words in the morning and the evening and when you go to bed.''
[Abu Dawud Hadith # 5067 and At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 3392].
Lesson: It is desirable to recite the invocations cited in the Hadith in the morning and the evening and also when one goes to bed and awakes. The purpose is that the concept of Allah's Providence and Divinity remains alive all the time in one's mind. With these words one seeks Allah's Protection in life and the Hereafter from things which are harmful. One also begs for his safety and guidance in this life and the Hereafter. This Hadith fully expresses one's recognition of Allah's Godhood and Lordship.

Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Seeking Refuge
Anas Ibn Malik (RA) reported: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) used to say, " O Allah, I seek refuge in thee from incapacity, indolence (laziness), from cowardice, from senility, from miserliness (greediness), and I seek refuge in thee from the torment of the grave and from the trial of life and death."

(Sahih Muslim, Book 48, hadith 68)

INVITE FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO RECIEVE THEIR DAILY HADITH
On the authority of Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al' As (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray.
